Chase Guttman is an award-winning travel photographer, Emmy-winning drone videographer, UAV expert, author, writer, lecturer, instructor and social media influencer. Three-time recipient and first American to win Young Travel Photographer of the Year, a prestigious international competition judged by museum curators and magazine editors, Guttman was named a World’s Top Travel Photographer by Condé Nast Traveler, a Rising Star by Instagram and won the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Storytelling and Exploration—a lifetime achievement level honor. His groundbreaking book issued by Skyhorse Publishing, The Handbook of Drone Photography, was one of the first written on the topic and received critical acclaim from publications such as Travel + Leisure, The Telegraph, Business Insider, The Daily Mail and the New York Post, among others.

Named a 3 Best Travel Photography Blogger by USA Today, Guttman is a contributor to the New York Daily News, The Huffington Post, Family Travel and Light Stalking. His photographic advice has been spotlighted in numerous global publications, he’s led workshops overseas for Tauck Tours and Photo Workshop Adventures and has taught travel and drone photography courses for the New York Institute of Photography, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and the School of the New York Times.

The Manhattan Borough President opened his solo exhibition in New York City when he was just 16 years old and he has since had his work shown at the esteemed Royal Geographical Society in the United Kingdom as well as in China and Malta.

With over 60,000 engaged followers in his social media community, Guttman is an influencer who was named an Emerging Voice by Instagram and was placed on the platform’s exclusive Suggested Users List.

The former Chief of Photography for a drone research and development lab, Guttman is a FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot. With nearly a decade of flying experience, he’s the founder of Heightened Visions, LLC, a drone photography, cinematography and education company. As the Director of Aerial Cinematography for a PBS documentary, Guttman received an Emmy Award for his drone work.
